Dental Implants
Your teeth are more than just an accessory. You use them each day to smile, chew, and even speak! You’ve had them your whole life, but now you’re faced with an uncomfortable situation – your teeth just aren’t lasting as long as you are. You may have seen the difficulties that a friend or family member has had with dentures, and you don’t want that to be you. Maybe you’ve even delayed seeing the dentist out of worry that dentures would be your only option. You just can’t imagine gluing your teeth in each day, but in the back of your mind, you know that at some point you’ll need to do something. If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and we can offer you another solution!
Dr. Walpole and his staff at Bright Choice Family Dental offer full mouth dental implants in Wichita Falls, TX. If you have multiple missing teeth, or if you have a history of chronic tooth pain or problems, come see us! We would love to help you get your smile back and to chew with confidence again.

What are Full Mouth Dental Implants?
A dental implant is a screw shaped post that is put in the jaw to replace a missing tooth. Because they are made of titanium, dental implants integrate with your bone and form a cellular bond. This bond is so strong that with just 4 strategically placed dental implants, we can support an entire arch full of teeth, and with just 8 we can restore an entire mouthful!
Full mouth dental implant solutions are often called by different names. Some of these include all on four dental implants, implant dentures, and implant overdentures – just to name a few! The difference in each of these lies in how the teeth are connected to the implants. Different connections offer different strengths, and one solution may be more affordable or secure for you than another. Finding the right option for you can depend on a variety of factors such as how long you’ve been without teeth, whether you have an existing dental implant or two already, or other factors. Instead of trying to mold you to fit our system, we go over each available option and help you decide on the option that will be the best fit for you.
What is the Process for Getting Full Mouth Dental Implants?
Prior to starting your full mouth dental implant case, Dr. Walpole will take a CBCT. This allows us to see how much bone you have in three dimensions for the areas where your dental implants will go. We also take a digital impression of your mouth so that we know how your teeth should fit in your mouth. We want you to like how you look when you smile, and with this information, we can design a set of teeth that fit your taste. Your teeth are then either milled or 3D printed, often right here in our office!
After your temporary prosthesis is ready, your dental implants are placed and healing begins. This usually takes about 4-6 months for your implants to fully integrate with your bone. When your healing is finally completed, the bone and gums of your jaw will likely be different than immediately after surgery. This can result in spaces or gaps between your temporary prosthesis and gums, but this is corrected with your final set of teeth. Your final set of teeth will also be milled out of a more durable and aesthetic material than your temporaries, giving you the ability to chew and smile with full confidence.
Who Can Get Full Mouth Dental Implants?
Dr. Walpole begins every dental implant treatment with a thorough exam and medical history review. While certain health conditions or lifestyle choices may present added risks and challenges, we have found that most patients are able to receive dental implants. Even if you have been without teeth for a while, come see us. We can help you find a solution that works for you!
How Much Do Full Mouth Dental Implants Cost?
Our office strives to provide affordable full mouth dental implants in Wichita Falls, TX. The cost for full arch tooth replacement can vary depending on factors such as how long you’ve been without teeth, whether you have any existing dental implants, etc. After determining which of our full mouth dental implant solutions is the right fit for you, our front office staff will be better able to provide a full breakdown of our fees and any estimated insurance coverage so that you have a clear picture of what to expect financially for your treatment.
How Long Do Full Mouth Dental Implants Last?
Full mouth dental implants have shown to be a remarkably predictable form of tooth replacement over time. In fact, studies have shown the success rate of full mouth dental implants to be approximately 94.8% effective after 10 years. By comparison, another study which attempted to determine the satisfaction of patients with traditional dentures reported satisfaction rates as low as 62% for lower dentures, only reaching up to 84% for upper dentures. While no dental procedure is ever completely successful 100% of the time for life, full mouth dental implants certainly offer a higher success rate than other tooth replacement options, and they offer a greater degree of satisfaction than any other full mouth tooth replacement option available.
